Celebrating the Retirement of
Kelly McPherson Todd
After nearly three decades of dedicated service to the students, families, and staff of Memorial Elementary School, we are honored to celebrate the retirement of Kelly McPherson Todd, our beloved School Psychologist.
Throughout her remarkable career, Kelly has been a fierce advocate for children, ensuring that every student felt seen, supported, and valued. Her compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to student success have left a lasting impact on generations of Memorial students and their families.
Kelly's influence extended far beyond her role as School Psychologist. As a PBIS Coach, she helped foster a positive and inclusive school culture where students could thrive both academically and socially. She was also a cherished supporter of RRICK, our beloved school mascot, helping create meaningful connections and joyful experiences for students throughout the years.
Colleagues have long admired Kelly's wisdom, calm demeanor, and collaborative spirit. She has been a trusted mentor, a dedicated teammate, and a source of encouragement for all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
While we will greatly miss her daily presence, we are incredibly grateful for the countless lives she has touched and the legacy she leaves behind at Memorial Elementary School. Her nearly 30 years of service reflect a career defined by compassion, excellence, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child.
Please join us in thanking Kelly McPherson Todd for her extraordinary dedication and wishing her a retirement filled with happiness, adventure, and all the wonderful moments she so richly deserves.
Congratulations, Kelly, and thank you for everything you have given to the Memorial Elementary School community!

Deb Diemont
School Adjustment Counselor (3-6)
504 Coordinator (4-6)
Hello MES families,
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and School Adjustment Counselor. I began my education at Union College in NY and went on to earn a Masters in Social Work from Boston University in May of 2003. That fall, I began working here at Memorial Elementary School, and I have never wanted to work anywhere else! Taking care of children's hearts and minds has long been our philosophy here. When I am not at MES, I love to spend time with my daughters and walk or hike with my two dogs. Lucy, my "senior" yellow Labrador Retriever is a certified Therapy Dog and will be in the building once a week to spend time with our students and staff. Skylar, my Golden Retriever puppy, is a Therapy Dog in training, who hopes to follow her big sister's "pawprints" one day! Please feel free to reach out with any questions: Email Me
or 508-488-5743.

School Psychologist (K-6)
Hello, MES Families, I am a School Psychologist who has been working in Hopedale for over twenty years. After receiving my Master's Degree from the University of Massachusetts, I continued my education so that I earned an Advanced Graduate Degree and became a licenced school psychologist. I like to learn and stay current about psychoeducational assessments and social emotional learning by reading professional books, taking workshops, seminars, and graduate classes.
Personally, I enjoy nature, golfing, reading, riding my bike, as well as spending time with my friends and family, especially my new grandson, Otis!!
Email Me or you can call me at 508-488-5708.

Hello MES families,
I’m excited to introduce myself as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and School Adjustment Counselor here at MES. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Boston University in 2020 and have nearly 20 years of experience supporting children’s social-emotional well-being in school settings. I joined the MES community in March 2022 and have loved getting to know our wonderful students and staff!
Outside of work, I enjoy playing board games with my children and friends or exploring nature with our dogs, Kobe and Tatum (yes, we are NBA fans in my house).
Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always here to support our students and families. You can contact me via email or call me at 508-488-5728.
Looking forward to another great year together!
